Sermon notes: Superheroes of the Bible

There are so many superheroes mentioned in the Bible that it’s difficult to narrow down the ones to expound upon. So in the sermon I’m going to list a few of the Honorable mentions. Those with great superpowers that at this point we just don’t have the time to going to detail about. So I’m going to quickly list ten Superhero’s in the Bible their superpowers and the scripture references so you can do a superhero Bible study on your own. Let’s begin with the honorable mentions of the superheroes of the Bible

First:

The apostle Philip- His power: Teleportation (Acts 8:39)

The apostle John: Could See the future. Book of Revelation, and history records that he could not be burned. Even in boiling oil.

Enoch – Inter dimensional travel (Genesis 5:24)

Ezekiel: Extra dimensional sight. (Ezekiel chapter 1)

Isaiah: Inter-dimensional sight and inter-dimensional teleportation. (Isaiah Ch6)

Stephan (the first martyr): Extra dimensional sight, supernatural wisdom and his face could shine like that of an angel. (Acts 6:15 and Acts 7:56)

Shaderac, Meshac, and Abenego- Fire proof. They could withstand the temperatures of a raging inferno no matter how hot. Their powers also extended to there cloths which could also not be touched by fire. (Daniel 3:19-30)

Giddion- Astral projection. His enemies would see things that were not really there. And they fought against each other thinking it was the enemy even tho it was there alley. (Judges 7:20-25)

And these are just a few of the honorable mentions of the superheroes in the Bible. We will be discussing in the greater length other superheroes in the Bible that not only match the powers of those listed here but in many cases exceeded them ten fold. Without question God is not just a fan of superheroes but is personally responsible for making them. And it’s only through God’s power that you too can become a superhero. For God is the same yesterday today and forever. And He does not change nor does his love for making superheroes. By inviting Jesus to come into your life you are inviting the same power of God that was on these people to reside in you. Accept him as your Lord and Savior. And become Super, Today! Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy!
